Project Details

The Rehabilitation Act, as amended, Public Law 99-506 Section 101(a), requires each state vocational rehabilitation agency to triennially conduct a comprehensive statewide needs assessment (CSNA). The results of the CSNA will be used to inform Utahs Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Plan developed in 2016. The Vocational Rehabilitation Office (VR) within the Utah Department of Workforce Services has requested the Center for Persons with Disabilities at Utah State University to conduct the CSNA.

We will be conducting survey research, combined with focus groups/interviews, of people receiving services from Vocational Rehabilitation, eligible students with disabilities and their parents, agencies that work with voc rehab, and staff in the voc rehab office. Additionally, national data comparing Utah to regional and partner states will be prepared.

A comprehensive report will be prepared based on the findings.
