Project Context
The Center for Technical Assistance for Excellence in Special Education (TAESE) is the technical assistance division of the Center for Persons with Disabilities at the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services at Utah State University. TAESE provides a variety of services such as event planning, training, and education-focused consultation.

Project Focus
TAESE recognizes that universal Professional Development/Technical Assistance is intended for all Utah school districts/charters to ensure awareness and foundational understanding that will initiate changes in practices and improve results for children and youth with disabilities. Universal professional development also helps maintain a consistent, unified process aligned with the strategic direction of the Utah State Office of Education, Special Education Services. TAESE's extensive experience providing targeted and intensive PD/TA will aid the USOESES in developing a system based on identified annual prioritized areas of need. The UPDN provides targeted and intensive technical assistance for selected school districts and charters.
