Project Coordinator I,
Juan Carlos Vazquez earned his bachelor Degree in Education with a minor in Physical Education from Weber State University in December of 1999. He completed his Master degree in Second Language Teaching with an emphasis in Multicultural Education and Second Language Acquisition at Utah State University in May of 2004. Juan Carlos is currently a Project Coordinator at the Center for Persons with Disabilities. Some of the projects he is currently working on are in the area of Cultural Competency Training for the Utah Regional Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (URLEND), Healthy Lifestyles for People with Disabilities, Individual Developments Accounts (IDAS) for People with Disabilities, and teaching a Spanish class per semester at Utah State University through the Languages and Philosophy Department. Juan Carlos and his wife Wendy have three boys and enjoy playing soccer, traveling, camping, and all sorts of family activities.
