IOTI - IDEA Part C to Part B Transition

Project Details

Project Context
Parents and families of eligible children with disabilities and developmental delays have specific rights and responsibilities as they navigate through transition from Early Intervention under Part C of the IDEA to preschool programs under Part B of IDEA. Families training and information to assist them with knowledge and understanding to be effective participants with teams.

Project Focus
Targeted trainees will include families who receive services in early intervention as they transition into education. Trainers will be drawn from previously trained parent trainers and professionals from collaborating agencies.

Project Services
The Utah Parent Center (UPC) will prepare and disseminate proven effective training and information for use by key stakeholders in early transition by using existing content to prepare and post videotaped modules in English and Spanish formats on the UPC website with online and print materials and through the presentation of webinars and workshops.
