A comprehensive recruitment plan is essential for insuring quality educational opportunities for students.
TAESE, in cooperation with the Arizona Department of Education, will assist Arizona in providing comprehensive recruitment services to all accredited educational institutions in the state.
TAESE will help to improve the Arizona education system by implementing a number of objectives and activities to meet three goals:
1) Provide sufficient numbers of certified special ed teachers to meet the needs for a rapidly growing special ed population
2) Ensure that students with disabilities in charter schools have access to quality programs
3) Attain statistically significant reading gains through the use of scientifically-based research validated strategies.
TAESE will work with websites, Arizona Educational Employment Board, Teach in Arizona, and the Arizona Promising Practices to achieve its goals. These programs provide comprehensive recruitment services focusing on pre-teacher development to placement to retention skills. This recruitment program assisted in placing over 1,000 educators into schools during the past fiscal year and is the most used educational recruitment system in Arizona for public, private, and charter schools.
TAESE will provide additional IT supports for events such as the Great Arizona Teach In, a statewide job fair sponsored by the Arizona Department of Education. Supports will be given to websites for the State Professional Development Grant, Evaluation services, and video streaming and hosting to various education websites.
TAESE will provide the supports needed for a successful recruitment program. This will include a range of services and responsibilities from Recruitment expertise to informational technology to online services needed to host and evaluation large scale events.
