IOTI:The ABCs of Autism: Supporting Families of Young Children in Utah with an Autism Spectrum Diagnosis. Interagency Outreach Training Initiative

Project Details

The purpose of this project is to support parents and families of children that have recently been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in their efforts to understand their child's diagnosis and the services available for children with ASD.

This project will also provide families with the opportunity to meet other families who are facing the same challenges and will allow them to receive and provide support to one another. Agencies, families, and the informal supports in the community will work together to ensure that all families will receive the information they need to ensure their child's optimal development and reduce parenting stress. By partnering with Utah's Family Voices and local community leaders, this project will provide families living across the state especially rural areas with training where these opportunities might not otherwise be provided.
