EC-ATP Preschool Special Education Program

The Early Childhood- Alternative Teacher Preparation program (EC-ATP), at the CPD, offers courses that lead to a Utah teaching certificate in Early Childhood Special Education (birth-to-five in Utah). This will help all teachers of preschool children with special needs meet the "highly qualified" requirement for the state.

The 2-year distance education program is available to students who have already completed their Bachelor's degree and are working (through a letter of authorization) in a preschool special education classroom. The student's district must also agree to become part of the EC-ATP Advisory Board.
