DBTAC Offers Disability Law Handbook
The Southwest Disability and Business Technical Assistance Center (SWDBTAC is a leading resource on the Americans with Disabilities Act(ADA) and related disability rights laws. The Southwest DBTAC is part of the Independent Living Research Utilization (ILRU) and is one of 10 DBTAC programs in the nation. The CPD partners with both the SWDBTAC and ILRU.
DBTACs provide technical assistance, training and materials dissemination to a wide range of audiences who are interested in or impacted by these laws, including employers, businesses, government agencies, schools, parents, and people with disabilities.
The Southwest DBTAC has recently announced a publication of The Disability Law Handbook, a 50-page guide that answers questions about the ADA, the ADA Amendments Act, the Rehabilitation Act, and other disability related laws.
Individual copies of the Disability Law Handbooks are available at no charge by emailing rauseo@bcm.edu, or calling Dionne Rauseo at 713-520-0232.
