IOTI Project Offers Free Webinars

IOTI - Family Training: From No Where to Know WhereThe Utah Parent Center in Salt Lake City, Utah is sponsoring three free Webinars as a part of the 'NO'Where to'Know' Where: Transition to Adult Life project funded by the Interagency Outreach Training Initiative (IOTI)from the CPD. A webinar provides you with the opportunity to obtain valuable information from the comfort of your home, office, or other location. On your computer you will be able to view the PowerPoint slides while you listen to the presenter. Each webinar will also include a Question and Answer Period.
Webinar 1: "Planning for Employment for Students with Disabilities" will be held on April 21, 2009, from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 p.m. Guest Presenter is Carol Ruddell, Project Director for the Work Ability Utah project.
Webinar 2: "What Students with Disabilities Need to Know about Going to College," will be held on May 5, 2009, from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 p.m. Guest Presenter is Steven Lewis, from the Salt Lake Community College Disability Resource Center.
Webinar 3: The third Webinar "What Parents and Youth Should Know about Transition," will be held on May 19, 2009, from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 p.m. Guest Presenter is Susan Loving, Transition Specialist, Utah State Office of Education.
To register for these webinars, send an email to katier@utahparentcenter.org. Be sure to include your name, role (parent, professional, educator, other), child's age, and city. Anyone who is interested is welcome to participate. Pre-registration is required for these events.
