BLT Project Offers Youth Leadership Toolkit

The Becoming Leaders for Tomorrow (BLT) project empowers young people with disabilities to develop strong self-determination and self-advocacy skills and further develop their leadership skills so that they can make a difference in their own lives and in the lives of others with disabilities as they transition into adulthood.

The BLT has developed a Youth Leadership Toolkit to provide information and tools that will help those who work with youth and young adults with disabilities to effectively include them in addressing the challenges of transitioning to adulthood. This Toolkit includes a Guidebook and DVD that can be used to train parents/families, young adult self-advocates, healthcare providers, physicians, disability service organizations and teachers.
