Wendy Whipple graduated from the University of Nevada Reno with a degree in Child Development and Family Life. She went on to receive her Master's Degree at Wheelock College in Boston in Early Intervention for Infants and Toddlers with Disabilities.

Wendy worked for the State of Nevada for 22 years in the field of Early Intervention in a variety of positions. She began her work as a direct service provider travelling rural Nevada to provide services to families in their homes. Wendy then worked on a Demonstratoin Grant project in Nevada to assist rural early childhood programs to replicate the HAPPY model of service delivery, utilizing video technology to reach families in remote regions of the state.

Wendy began working in the Early Intervention Part C Office in 1993 and took on the role of the Comprehensive System of Personnel Development Coordinator, provided technical assistance to early intevention programs along with monitoring. Wendy also took over the coordination of several other federally funded grants including the Head Start State Collaboration Project, Early Literacy and a Respite grant.

Wendy was assigned as the Part C Coordinator in Nevada in 2003 and began work to reorganize Nevada's Early Intervention System. Wendy was the Coordinator until January 2012 when she joined the MPRRC as a Program Specialist.
