Storee Powell is a graduate of Utah State University. She graduated with a degree in print journalism in 2010 with a minor in Women and Gender Studies and a 4.0 GPA. As a freelance reporter for the Cache Valley Daily and Utah Public Radio, Storee covers women's issues such as women in higher education and women's health.
Storee produced a media project for USU's Center for Women and Gender called Contemporary Western Women. The project focused on everyday modern women from the West who are accomplished great things in diverse areas from education and science to art and athletics. The stories aired on Utah Public Radio in spring 2011.
Storee is originally from Idaho Falls, Idaho, and is married to Jim Powell. She enjoys anything artistic, her brothers, dogs, nature walks, reading news and current events and anything journalistic.
