Stephen D. Schneider, M.D. is Board Certified in Pediatrics and has been interested in the diagnosis and effective treatment of behavioral issues for over 12 years.

Dr. Schneider received his residency training at Oregon Health & Sciences University in Portland, Oregon, and his Medical Doctorate at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. In addition to his clinical practice at the Center for Persons with Disabilities at Utah State University, Dr. Schneider is in clinical practice at Intermountain Budge Clinic, in Logan.

From experience, Dr. Schneider has learned that early identification and multifaceted intervention for behavioral and communication issues, especially Autism and Asperger's Disorder, expedites the most satisfactory outcomes, and he promulgates the conservative use of medicine, preferably with behavioral interventions rather than more aggressive use of additional medication, whenever possible. He makes every effort to make care inclusive as studies demonstrate this leads to the best outcomes for children, enthusiastically advocating for close collaboration between the child, parents, teacher(s), psychologist and physician.
