Ryan, originally from Northern California, earned his Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Kentucky University. He fulfilled a pediatric internship at the Children's Center for Neurodevelopmental Studies in Glendale, AZ, an internationally recognized clinic specializing in sensory integration treatment. He has also completed coursework for the P.L.A.Y. Project (Play and Language for Autistic Youngsters), Therapeutic Listening, and the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT).
Ryan has been working for over 12 years with children of all ages and their families, in a variety of settings including home, clinic and school. He works with children with developmental delays and disabilities including autism spectrum disorders. He specializes in the treatment of sensory processing difficulties and is also trained in techniques to help with motor coordination, feeding and oral-motor, focus and attention, handwriting and social and relationship based issues. Ryan currently works as an Occupational Therapist for Clinical Services where he is a team member of the Autism Diagnostic Clinic, does clinical OT evaluation and treatment and provides school based services for children at USU's Edith Bowen Laboratory School. Ryan loves spending time with his wife and 6 children and engaging in activities such as hiking, snowboarding, and playing guitar.
