Roger Tyler spent 10 years in the United States Air Force, 8 years as an Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Mechanic, and 2 years as a Helicopter Crew Chief. Roger served in Germany and England. He was deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation Southern Watch. He was discharged in 1993. 13 years later, in 2006, he joined the Idaho Air National Guard as an AGE Mechanic and was deployed to Afghanistan, Germany, and Guam in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He plans to transfer to the Utah National Guard and finishing his military career there. Roger joined The National Children's Study in April of 2011 as an Environmental Monitoring Equipment Technician. He is looking forward to moving his family to Cache Valley and hopes to further his education at Utah State University.
