Maren E. Otterstrom graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 2008. She started her college career as a vocal performance major, which was a great experience. Through this experience, she was offered a position as a USU Arts Ridge Scholar for the Reading In Motion Project. As a scholar, she taught early literary skills through music to children in kindergarten and life skills classes. This experience is ultimately what showed her that being a teacher was what she was born for. Her work with the USU Special Olympics Team and experience with children with disabilities in Reading In Motion Classes led her to the CPD seeking employment. She works with the Developmental Skills Lab with their day training, respite and Friday night activities programs.
