Jeana Cleaver is an Instructional Coach/Implementation specialist with the Utah Professional Development Network (UPDN). Prior to joining UPDN, Jeana taught secondary English/Language Arts in the greater Houston, Texas area where she worked primarily with at-risk youth in both traditional public schools and an early college. Additionally, Jeana has worked as the College Readiness Awareness Education (CARE) Grant Coordinator at the Lone Star College System and as a Project Coordinator (for professional development) in the George J. Beto Criminal Justice Center at Sam Houston State University.

Jeana is a proud Fightin' Texas Aggie having graduated with Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Texas A&M University. She also earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Sam Houston State University.

Jeana is an avid sports fan (growing up in small-town East Texas will do that to someone). She spends her Saturdays in the fall watching college football (preferably Texas A&M, but any game will do), and she enjoys watching and attending baseball, soccer, and hockey games. In her free time, Jeana likes to write, read, paint, hike, bike, travel, and stay in touch with friends and family.
