Andrew Vanderwerf has worked in the Center for Persons with Disabilities, Biomedical Laboratory since May 2008. His current lab project is determining copy number variation (CNV) of C4 genes in autistic subjects. He is majoring in Biological Engineering and expected to graduate from Utah State University in spring 2010. His other lab experience is at Johns Hopkins University, summer 2009, researching toxoplasma inhibition assays. Andrew plans to pursue an MD/PhD and hopes to one day cure fatal diseases in humans. His other interests are skiing, tennis, reading, and hiking.
