Exchange students visit Up to 3
Two occupational therapy students from South Korea spent a month with the Up to 3 program recently. They are Ha-eun Kim (Rosie, at left) and Eun Ji (Helen, at right).
Two occupational therapy students from a university in South Korea spent a month with the Up to 3 Early Intervention program at Utah State University’s Center for Persons with Disabilities. The students have gone on client home visits with Up to 3 service coordinators, speech therapists, physical therapists and occupational therapists.
Ha-eun Kim (also known as Rosie) said, “This has been a very important experience to me in Up to 3.”

PICCOLO meeting draws international visitors
International visitors to the CPD learn more about the PICCOLO tool during a recent three-day meeting.
A recent three-day research meeting brought together 18 people from five countries to learn about and discuss Parenting Interactions with Children: Checklist of Observations Linked to Outcomes (PICCOLO™). The gathering was hosted by researchers at Utah State University’s Center for Persons with Disabilities.
“It went great,” said Mark Innocenti, director of the CPD’s research and evaluation division and one of the developers of the tool. The group included participants from Spain, Brazil, Chile, China and the United States.
