The Departmen of Pediatrics at the University of Utah, in collaboration with the Early Intervention Research Institute at Utah State University and under the direction of Richard Roberts, is now part of the National Children's Study. The National Children's Study is a long-term research project that will examine environmental influences on children's health and development. More than 100,000 children across the United States will be included in the study. The Cache County Study Center staff will begin recruiting women from Cache County neighborhoods in 2009. Their goal is to follow 1000 births in this landmark study on childhood, health, growth, and development.
