Special education conference set to take place Aug. 6-7

Registration is open for the 2008 Utah Institute on Special Education Law and Practice conference.
The conference runs Aug. 6 to 7 at the Ogden Eccles Conference Center. The event fills quickly.
This annual conference is designed for educators, administrators, service providers, parents, attorneys and others responsible for the implementation and support of the 2004 Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
The Utah Office of Special Education and the Center for Technical Assistance for Excellence in Special Education/Mountain Plains Regional Resource Center are teaming up to provide the event.
Most sessions require a background in special education procedures and practice.
An exclusive pre-conference, conducted only for due process hearing officers and charter school administrators, will be Aug. 5 at the Marriott in Ogden.
