Utah State University Center for Persons with Disabilities First, there was a dream; a dream that all CPD children could enjoy a playground; an inclusive playground that invited exploration and social interaction, and encouraged learning. Then, there was a plan to turn this (photo of a patch of concrete and dead grass) into a magical place that stimulates the senses, encourages communication, and promotes motor skills. Designs were drawn. Funds were raised through donations from individuals, families, organizations and businesses. Students volunteered time and effort. And the work began (rapid slides of large equipment digging, concrete forms, paving stones, all starting to take the shape of the playground). Now it’s a reality! Thanks to all our supporters, our children are learning, playing, exploring, and gaining new skills every day (photos of children playing on the various playground features). Our kids thank you. We thank you for helping us continue a Legacy of Excellence. (Closeup photo of happy little boy) CPD 2012, continuing a legacy of excellence.
