Young children can glide into the amphitheater on a three-foot slide that leads into this sunken play area. With its raised edges, even a child in a wheelchair can take a turn. Children can climb up the gentle stairs or go up the ramp to take another ride on the slide, which is wide enough to accommodate two individuals at a time, or they might spy the big rock in the middle of the valley and explore a rock climbing adventure. Small groups of children can come to this area and listen to stories and sing songs, or just sit on the benches around the sides and watch others playing.
