Easter Seals Conference Call: The New Healthcare Bill: Great News for People with Disabilities

Easter Seals, In collaboration  with Self Advocates Becoming Empowered (SABE) is hosting a series of monthly conference calls on Family Support.  Each call is designed for families of children with developmental disabilities and self advocates to learn more about family support options,  as well as how to advocate for service improvements.

The series begins on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. ET.  The calls will be held on the 3rd Wednesdays of each month through August, 2010.

The first call is geared for self-advocates and their families to get user-friendly information about the new Healthcare Bill.  Staff from Senator Harkin and Senator Dodd's offices will describe new programs that will provide long term services and supports to people with disabilities.
