Developing Employment Support for People with Disabilities
The Supported Employment Training Project, an IOTI funded project from the CPD, is offering a training titled "Developing Employment Support for People with Disabilities" on March 24, 25, & 26 from 9:00-4:00 at the University of Utah Annex, Room 1146, 1901 East South Campus Drive, SLC, Utah.
This training will provide individuals with the necessary tools to develop practical strategies to meet the diverse supported employment needs of individuals with disabilities. Several topical areas related to supported employment will be discussed, such as: understanding supported employment philosophy including various employment models, developing natural supports, conducting Person-Centered Planning, developing vocational profiles and client assessment strategies, conducting thorough job placement and job development activities that include marketing, work site analysis, job training, and developing appropriate instructional procedures.
Cost is free, but registration is required. Please register at the Utah Supported Employment Project website. Registration deadline is March 14.
