Easter Seals Family Support Conference Call Series

Easter Seals, in collaboration with Self Advocates Becoming Empowered (SABE), is hosting a series of monthly conference calls on Family Support.  Each call is designed for families of children with developmental disabilities and self advocates to learn more about family support options, as well as how to advocate for service improvements.

The next conference call on the series will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 from 3:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. EDT. (2:00 p.m CDT, 1:00 p.m. MDT, 12:00 PDT)

It is entitled: "Self Advocates and Families Included:  Being Part of the Community, Not Just In the Community."

Additional calls will be held the 3rd Wednesday of each month and will last 60-90 minutes.  Topic include: Family rights; Easing the transition process for children with disabilities; Emnployment and training needs of adults with disabilities; Linking with resources in your state and local communities.
