Developing Employment Support for People with Disabilities
The Utah Supported Employment Training, an IOTI funded project at the CPD, is offering a training titled "Developing Employment Support for People with Disabilities" on March 15, 16, & April 5, 2010 from 9:00-4:00 at the Moab Grand County Library, 257 East Center Street, Moab, Utah.
This training will provide individuals with the necessary tools to develop practical strategies to meet the diverse supported employment needs of individuals with disabilities. Several topical areas related to supported employment will be discussed, such as: understanding supported employment philosophy including various employment models, developing natural supports, conducting Person-Centered Planning, developing vocational profiles and client assessment strategies, conducting thorough job placement and job development activities that include marketing, work site analysis, job training, and developing appropriate instructional procedures.
