Heidi Hill

This blog is written by our roving reporter, Heidi Hill, who participates in the Developmental Skills Laboratory Adult Day Program at USU.  Heidi loves to type and has fun  reporting on all of the fun activities that the adult participants-her “buds”- do during the month.

Heidi’s bus and van buds went to see “The Avengers” at this one theater house.

We also went by bus and van to “Hill” Air Force Base…no relation to yours truly!  We saw some mighty fast flyers in our day.  a participant next to a fighter planeWe ate lunch just ‘neath an airplane.  We saw planes from World War II and a replica of Air Force One which is used only by our Commander in Chief, also known as the President of the United States!

One day we went to Aggie Ice Cream and had some delicious ice cream!

We made strawberry jam for Father’s Day.

We had a very great and busy month in June at DSL!

Heidi’s Happenings: Holiday fun!

Heidi and CJ - all smiles for the holidays!

In November, my buds and I made napkin rings and placemats to prepare for a HUGE feast!  This feast had about most of these yummy foods:  turkey, stuffing, buttery rolls, and pies of all kinds.  There just wasn’t pumpkin pie at the feast, which was strange because, as you know, the Pilgrims had pumpkin pie at the first Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving feast at DSL-looks yummy!

We also went to see the movie “Puss in Boots” in November, and it was FUNNY!  That cat could really dance!

We began to practice for our Christmas program on the seventh of December.  We worked very hard and practiced a lot.  We did a very good job!  And Santa even came to our program!

We also have been doing many projects for Christmas.  We wrote letters to Santa and he wrote back to each of us telling us how good we are!

My buds and I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a groovy New Year!

Until next year…
